Makey Makey
Don't forget to log every day with specific details about what you planned or accomplished.
Goal: For this project, you will be creating your own controllers for the computer with the Makey Makey input.
Artifacts: Pictures of the Makey Makey controller that you have created and well as videos of the controller working.
Project Details to Know:
There are several kits of Makey Makeys. You may use the wires from multiple kits if they are available.
Your Project Plan should include a list of projects that you plan to create. You may include pictures/schematics of your plan or your could include lists of materials which you plan to use.
Your Choice Writing link should be a link to a controller that you plan to recreate.
Most of the materials that you wish to use will likely be able to be taken home. If you have any questions on materials, just make sure to check with Mrs. Pennington.
The Makey Makey website has several games which you can use for your controllers, but you can create your own game/activity in scratch with which to use your controller. This works especially well with controllers which the main goal is to make sounds.
You can use either your Chromebook or a classroom computer to work with the Makey Makey.
You can reprogram the Makey Makey so that it gives you more flexibility with the number controls that it can make. One group was able to create a complete drum set.
The number of devices that you create will depend on the intricacy. It is preferable to create creative, well-designed controllers than lots of simple controllers.
Copper tape and wires are avaible in the WIRES tub.
