Friday, September 19 was a creative day. Students worked in teams to build a tower that raised a marble as high off the table as they could.  

Even though creative days are fun, it is not about the fun.  It is a time for students to problem solve quickly, work with a partner, and communicate clearly and kindly.

Guidelines/Materials:

20 index cards

1 marble

whole class period

students could trade in damaged materials

tape was provided, but each 1" of tape reduced the height of their measured tower by 1/2 inch.
